What’s your background, what compelled you to start writing? I've always loved writing. And I started collecting children's books long before I ever had kids. So, I guess, if I had been paying attention, I would have known it would come to this eventually. What book from your childhood do you remember the best? Why? I love all of the Frances books, by Russell and Lillian Hoban. She was cheeky but kind. I also loved Corduroy, Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel, and all of Sandra Boynton's books.
